My aversion to stupid rules started at school when pupils were forbidden to eat the delicious, sweet, juicy fruit - gifted by a large and generous plum tree.
So the plums ripened, dropped and were left to rot on the ground - unless we kids were prepared to break the rule and risk the consequence of disobedience.
And there were very bad laws where I lived as a child. The government in power banned television, certain books, satirical theatre and it put people in prison for 90 days, without trial, if they were considered a threat to what was its toxic official narrative. After the first 90 days those deemed dangerous dissenters could be put back inside again for another 90 days.
Brave people stood up, refused to comply and eventually the bad laws became part of an unhappy history.
Here we are again in what is developing as a different unhappy history, with censorship shoring up our government’s current Official Narrative.
For rules, regulations and laws to endure, they need to be founded on truth, logic and trust.
These elements are all missing now.
Take the Coroners Amendment Bill presently before Parliament.
The bill would amend current legislation by:
making it clear that coroners could record a cause of death as “unascertained natural causes” if they considered that the death was from natural causes and no further investigation was required under the Act
enabling coroners to decide whether a coronial inquiry should include an inquest
enabling coroners to issue written findings stating only the cause of death, and not the circumstances, if they considered that there was no public interest in making findings about the broader circumstances.
Now consider the death of Kiwi Rory Nairn, 26.
A coroner has found his death was caused by myocarditis stemming from the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, Coroner Sue Johnson said in her report the inquiry into Nairn’s death had “not yet concluded,” and she still had to determine whether it could have been prevented and if any recommendations were required.
Under the amended law, could a coroner simply say the death was caused by myocarditis and make no mention of the vaccine or the circumstances?
Remember that death certificates here do not require Covid vaccination status to be recorded.
It seems the government is using legislation to bury the truth, taking its tame news platforms along for the ride.
There’s some very scary and illogical stuff out there and Stuff, an apology for a news platform, is particularly transparent in its bias and attack on those who question regulations and raise the alarm about censorship and current data.
If you browse alternative news platforms, you’ll find these stories:
It’s estimated that 22,000 to 30,000 previous uninfected young adults ages 18–29 years must be boosted with an mRNA vaccine to prevent one Covid-19 hospitalisation.
People with jobs are, all of a sudden, becoming disabled at alarming rates
Healthy, successful people are suddenly dying off faster than the general population
Excess mortality in the EU climbed to +16% in July 2022 from +7% in both June and May. This was the highest value on record so far in 2022, amounting to around 53 000 additional deaths in July this year compared with the monthly averages for 2016-2019.
Five ethical arguments against mandates at universities
‘Died Suddenly News’ claims to be the fastest growing group on Facebook with 288,000 members.
Good luck if you’re looking for information about any of this stuff on Stuff’s news pages.
Do we hear calls for an investigation into trends, adverse events and possible causes?
Where are the interviews with (even mention of) vaccine injured people? Nah, nothing.
Instead, on Stuff, you’ll find a frenzied witch-hunt, targeting people, who engage their curious brains and dare to stand for election in the upcoming local body elections.
In line with classic propaganda panic, Stuff accuses such candidates of espousing conspiracy theories and Covid-19 disinformation and “pushing debunked claims about United Nations sustainability goals, known as Agenda 30.”
Ironically their strategy backfires. Stuff helpfully identifies those who question the Official Narrative, making it easier for voters to choose where to place their ticks.
This boomerang occurrence is now a recognised syndrome.
Attempts to discredit dissenters may lead to a “censorship backfire”, according to an Israeli paper, published by science publisher Springer in May 2022.
It happens when public exposure of attempts at suppression attracts more attention to, sympathy for and support of the suppressed and their position.
The study addresses the controversy over COVID-19 vaccines and measures against so-called “anti-vaxxers.”
The authors note that the issue of suppression of vaccine dissenters has rarely been studied from the point of view of those who raise concerns about vaccine safety.
Study respondents reported being subjected to a variety of censorship and suppression tactics, including:
the retraction of papers pointing to vaccine safety problems
negative publicity
difficulty in obtaining research funding
calls for dismissal
summonses to official hearings
suspension of medical licenses
self-censorship
The authors note that suppression of critical voices in science violates scientific principles, prevents discussion and may establish a pattern of unfair conduct that diminishes public confidence in science and medicine.
“As a rule, censorship assumes that the public cannot be trusted to understand the issue in question and make sensible judgments…”
Sadly censorship is not only a major force in our lives, it has become an industry.
The USA based Social Science Research Council’s ‘Mercury Project’ has received funding for research on building information environments to support Covid vaccination uptake among under-vaccinated populations.
The project is a global consortium of researchers ‘dedicated to combating the impacts of mis- and disinformation on public health’.
Teams funded under the Mercury Project will “rigorously design and test interventions with the potential to be cost-effective at scale in increasing demand for Covid-19 vaccination, other vaccinations, and additional preventative health technologies…”
The project is supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, which has close ties with the World Health Organisation.
The Rockefeller foundation is now targeting Africa to scale up Covid-19 vaccinations but it may be surprised to find that Africa is not an easy pushover.
If African nations continue to object to a proposal to reform International Health Regulations, they might block passage of a global health policy at the World Health Organisation's annual assembly, presently underway in New York.
Africa has reason to be distrustful, according to a 2020 Al Jazeera opinion piece, entitled “Medical colonialism in Africa is not new”. The report refers to Pfizer’s 1996 clinical trials in Nigeria, others conducted in Zimbabwe in 1994 and sterilisation tests done on Herero women by doctors who sought to provide “scientific” backing to ban mixed-race marriages.
They will not forget.
And the so-called fringe groups of today, that worry Stuff so much, will not forget the mandates, the coercion, the lies, the vaccine injuries, the cruelty, the propaganda and censorship of 2022.
Substack journalist Caitlin Johnstone writes,“The ability to control the way people think, act and vote with mass-scale psychological manipulation allows our rulers to dominate us more pervasively than we could ever be dominated by brute totalitarian force, which is why so much energy goes into keeping the people from controlling their own narratives. That's all the current mainstream panic about ‘disinformation’ is, for example. If narrative control were fully decentralised, our rulers couldn't rule.”
So, getting back to the plum tree and also the current situation, I urge those bent on controlling us to Piss Off With your Excessive Regulations (POWER).
